ABC B for Blue, Bows and Bling

Our final challenge for ABC is Blue, Bows and Bling and we are sponsored by The Stamp Fairy with $10 gift certificate. Stamp Fairy are having a sale right through to 31st December so it’s an excellent time to pop in over there.

I have used a Stamp Fairy image for my card, which I coloured with copics and promarkers. I frantaged randomly to look like snow. The diecuts are from Memory box, Marianne, and a freebie I got from a magazine, and what a pretty freebie the little tree is too.

B Bows, Blue, Bling

My paper is from Bearly Mine and the sentiment has been in my stash forever! I used the waste from the snowflake border diecut to dot some extra snowflakes around the image. I also glittered the snowman and the snow they are standing on.

My die cuts are from memory box and Marianne, and I cut them from some Kanban mats that I had got a whole stack of and was never going to get through as mats and they had such pretty designs on them I thought they might look a bit different as diecuts. I’ve edged all my layers with purple glitter.

On behalf of a Friend!

I am posting this on behalf of a dear friend, Jane, who doesn’t have a blog. This is her first ever attempt at something like this, and indeed will be the first challenge she has ever entered!

This is what she had to say about it

I have had a Sizzix eClips for some time, and finally got round to using it with a kit from SVGcutz - Maple Manor. It was originally designed for Halloween, but my challenge to myself was to make a Christmas house only using my existing stash! I used a co-ordinated pad of paper from Martha Stewart, a winter wonderland tree from Tim Holtz's ideology range that I sprayed with Perfect Pearls and other embellishments from my stash. I loved making it and learned a lot about paper engineering!

CCM 106 Winter Fun

This is our final challenge at Crafty Cardmakers for 2013 and it’s a fun one, Winter Fun to be precise. We want to see your creations depicting the sort of fun you might have during the Winter, for example sledding, skating, skiing, building a snowman, but NOT a Christmas card, although what you do with it afterwards is up to you!!

We are sponsored for our final challenge by The Paper Shelter with a $20 gift certificate for their store and also by Sir Stampalot with a fabulous Magnolia stamp.

I have used an image from our first Sponsor called Fantasy on Ice, to create my card.

CCM 106 Winter Fun

I coloured her with copics and there are a few little touches of both glamour dust and a silver pigment ink roller ball pen for her blades and the metal parts of her boots. I have used what is rapidly becoming my favourite die, the elegant labels 25 die from Spellbindrs. The boots are a Marianne die, which I cut twice in toning pale turquoise card and silver mirri for the blades. A tiny bit of embroidery thread made the laces. In the opposite corner is a metal filigree corner which I frantaged. I have been hanging onto these metal corners as I love them so much, but as I have managed to find another supply I used it here!

Lexi’s Creations 105 Snow

It’s our final challenge of the year at Lexis Creations and it will run through until January 2014. Our theme is Snow and we are sponsored by Joanna Sheen with a fabulous £10 voucher for her store, stuffed to the gunnels with crafting delights!

Lexi 105 SnowMy card was created with the a SWALK stamp, coloured with my copics. The background paper has been in my stash a long time! The dies are from Spellbinders, for the mat, and Britannia dies for the sentiment. A bit of glamour dust completes this card which is nice and flat for postage. I realised after I had stuck it all down that if I had cut two of the Spellie’s mat and put them together at an angle it would have looked like a giant snowflake behind the image! So my tip would be think before you glue….

ABC A Almost Christmas

Well it’s almost Christmas and that’s the title of our A challenge at ABC this next fortnight. We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter with a fabulous prize of a $20 Gift Certificate for their store.

I have used one of their images, Yep I have my Methods, for my card, which I coloured with copics.

ABC A Almost Christmas

I drew over his hat, and coat fur areas with a versamark pen and then used Wow white Puff embossing powder to give a dimensional feel to those areas, I also did the same on the robin’s hat. I used glamour dust for the snowy chimney top and roof, and white frantage embossing enamel for the falling snow. The papers were from a magazine free pad of paper and I finished it off with card candi and a reindeer diecut, both from Craftwork Cards, and a greeting stamped onto Santa’s balloon.
